The Meaning Of Love

To love is to share life together
to build special plans just for two
to work side by side
and then smile with pride
as one by one, dreams all come true.

To love is to help and encourage
with smiles and sincere words of praise
to take time to share
to listen and care
in tender, affectionate ways.

To love is to have someone special
one who you can always depend
to be there through the years
sharing laughter and tears
as a partner, a lover, a friend.

To love is to make special memories
of moments you love to recall
of all the good things
that sharing life brings
love is the greatest of all.

I've learned the full meaning
of sharing and caring
and having my dreams all come true;
I've learned the full meaning
of being in love
by being and loving with you.

AUTHENTIC LOVE

You can tell me the truth
and not show it
you can make up lies
but I'll always know it

being my friend
is worth much more
than crushing my heart
like you did before

feelings aren't pretend
they are mutual and free
so if you take me as I am
I'll just let you be

love is twice 
it creates a whole
but our love was one
and it hurts my soul

I can't change for you
I've already tried
now you need to realize
I'm not some ride

I can't just be repaired 
with some nails and glue
you really ripped my heart
you tore it in two

I finally left you
and it felt grand
you didn't know why
you didn't understand

I'll tell you this
so don't blink one lash
listen up
cause it's your news flash

What I Want

All I want is to see you
There's something I want you to do
I want you to listen and now this is true
I think I love you
You make me feel like I'm flying on a cloud
And I want to scream out loud

There's nothing more I want to do

You make me want to lay in the grass
Just lay there while the time continues to pass
Lay there with the sun on my face
And know I'm in my place

When I hear your voice I close my eyes and smile
Cause I know that you’ll be with me for a while
I turn and look at you
And I know that you see me like I see you

There's something in the way you look at me
You see something that I can not see
I want to lay with your arms around me
Oh why can you be here with me

In class I want hold your hand
And know you won’t run before you can stand
Oh girl look at what you do to me
Why isn’t what I feel something I can see..

When I First Met You

When I first met you, I didn't give it a second thought
But after a few hours I knew that I was caught
I loved your curly hair, your voice, and your smile
I knew I could make it work if we just talked for awhile
But that wasn't as easy as I thought that it would be
because for some reason you just didn't want to talk to me
But that soon changed and you stole my heart
I didn't trust you, but it was a start
I had so much fun, but it was over so fast
Now all I can wonder is how long these feelings will last?
Years later, the feelings are still here...
maybe you'll never feel the same and that's my biggest fear.
Maybe someday you'll wake up and realize just what you mean to me, 
but probably not, 
so I'll move on and find the one meant for me.

Amazing and beautiful

Out of this world of insanity and madness!

I feel my heart beat rapidly when you look into my eyes

Running from reality happy to be living this dream,

Willing to fight the world to keep our soul alive!

You’re my lover, baby, Hun and best friend,

You have made my world surreal,

You made me content with myself; absolute

You have made me feel for once instead of agony; happy and love!

And I want you to know,

That I will always be here for you; throughout the good, bad, the tears, and smiles

That we will be together forever as one,

And my love for you is eternal; it will in no way come to its end!!!!!

Girl In The Rain

Dressed in a sundress
Under the pouring rain
She twirled around
Raising her hands to the air
Droplets fell onto her hair

Bare footed as she started dancing
Letting her hair free
She's the girl in the rain
The water numbed all her pain

Her grieve hidden behind a mask
She lifted her eyes to the sky
And started to dance
Throwing away all her sorrow
She started to smile again
She's the girl in the rain

Nobody knows who she was
No one knows where she came from
All they knew she was silent
Like the wind in everyone's hair

Soaked, wet and cold
Ignored, rejected and unappreciated
Like the roses in her hands
Wilted and dead
She let the rain fall onto her head
She's the girl in the rain

Everything was different
After she left
All they could remember
Time and time again
Silent from all her pain
She was the girl in the rain

Waiting For Love

I can feel you near so I turn around,
There you stand with the smile I love.

My heart is beating rapidly now as I look into your eyes.
I reach out my hand but you hesitate.
I read your eyes saying, "I'm sorry, we have to wait."
I Keep my hand out hoping you'll take it.
Still your eyes say it's too soon.
It's been only three months since your last relationship ended.

I walk to you and put my right hand on your chest, feel your heartbeat against my palm.
My heart aches and my stomach turns into a knot.
I feel your pain so fresh and want to take it away.
You take my hand and press it between yours. I see your eyes say, "Soon I will hurt no more."

I smile and my eyes light up. 
You smile back and look straight through my soul.
Your left hand reaches up and cups my right cheek.
Your thumb makes circular motions as you smile and look into my eyes.
I close my eyes, begin to lean forward.
Your right hand moves to my left cheek and you say, "Open your eyes, Liz."
I look at you confused and begin to step back.
Your hands move to my shoulders and hold me in place.
My bottom lip quivers and tears well in my eyes.
You pull me close and hug me tight, "Shh, shh, don't cry." 
I am hurting and want to bawl. I hear you say, "I promise we will kiss someday."

I lift myself from your loving arms and nod in understanding.
"I know you will heal soon. I will wait until you do. 
Just remember I am here for you whenever or whatever you need me for."
You nod your head.
We hug once again and it's time for us to temporarily part.
My heart and stomach ache because I know I'll miss you horribly.

So here I am just waiting for that day when I finally hear you say, "Will you be mine? My one and only?"
I will shout, "YES!" and feel the joy my heart needs so desperately.
When that day comes I will be yours and you will be mine.
Until that day an emptiness remains that only you can fill.

I Love You So....

I think about you all the time
Your always in my head
I reread every text you send
And remember what you said

I'm always here for you
Every hour of the day
I'll never let you down
Or hurt you in any way

I love you more than anything
You're like the air I breath
And when I look around
I know you're all I need

My sunshine on a cloudy day
That's one thing that you are
And even on the darkest nights
You are my brightest star
